A black dog on an empty road, which appears in the first shot, is not only the omen of death, but also a signal of taking up a game with the crime and horror story convention. The protagonist returns from the beyond in order to look at his life once again and consider why it ended in a car boot with his body packed into a plastic bag. An Afterimage makes the audience reflect on how much influence you have on your own fate and to what extent a coincidence or unknown force majeure governs it.
