Somewhere in the remote Eastern European countryside there lives an old widower with his deaf, grown-up son. The men have problems communicating, not just because of the young one’s disability. Their life together, filled with farm duties and marked by isolation from the world, is becoming increasingly more difficult for both. Following their everyday struggle, little treats as well as the animals and nature surrounding the characters, the film transforms into meditation on the relationship between the father and the son.
