Winter Hymns is a story of two brothers. Joshua, who is 10, is obsessed about everything his older brother does. The brother keeps mounting new challenges before Joshua, who is helpless in his opinion, and provokes him to perform increasingly more demanding tasks. The two boy’s winter escapade in search of adventure will end in an unexpected way. Mancinelli’s film shows how responsive and susceptible to manipulation children are and what a seemingly innocent game may lead to.
