After the Jungle

Nathaniel Sesay is a popularity-gaining musician known as Mash P. During a brutal civil war in Sierra Leone, which lasted 10 years, he was kidnapped and recruited by force to the troops of child soldiers living in the jungle. Today, 14 years after the end of the war, Nathaniel goes back to his homeland and the people who managed to completely forget about him. Confrontation with the former environment will not be easy for him. Hazel Chandler’s film is about the protagonist’s poignant story and attempt to escape from his traumatic past.
