Playing Lecuona

Playing Lecuona

Three outstanding Latin American jazz pianists, Chucho Valdés, Michel Camilo and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, pay tribute to their master. They have no doubts that Ernesto Lecuona, a Cuban composer and piano virtuoso, deserves more than just a modest memorial stone. They follow his tracks in Tenerife, Andalusia and New York, discuss his influence upon their own work as artists and, above all, perform his music, which is still inspiring today, over 50 years after his death.
