“The show must go on”, are the words used by the leader of Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, a funk and soul group, when she encounters adversities in her life. Described as the female embodiment of James Brown, not just because of her powerful voice but also her stage temperament, she did not achieve true success until she was a mature woman. Recently, Sharon has had to face the greatest challenge of all, but she does not intend to leave the stage regardless of her cancer and difficult treatment process.
