A composer, cinema operator, translator, graphic artist, film poster artist and many other residents of Sophia recall what the shows “in the old-style cinema” looked like. The majority of places and buildings they describe have fallen into oblivion or ruin. In a nostalgic and extremely warm way, Atanas Hristoskov’s film reminds us of the times when movies were made on flammable film stock, dialogues were interpreted simultaneously and the back row in the cinema was used mainly for the purpose of love life.
