The father of her ex-husband pours caustic acid on Masoumeh. Blinded and with a disfigured face, with no support whatsoever from the government, she wants to regain the right to raise her little son. Fighting for her honour and demanding better social conditions, she becomes a representative of other injured women. Her attempt at recovering dignity is a voice against brutal acts of violence committed by the families of the victims as well as the rejection of the law in Iran.
