Overpass

Under shelter of the night, a hooded teenager with a can of spray paint climbs up the flyover over a motorway. The boy is seen by the police, who start to chase him, but he manages to escape. At home, in the morning, he is woken up by his mother. Is this yet another film about a young hoodlum and rebel or insolent anarchist? The director and screenwriter, Patrice Laliberté, has a much more interesting story to tell. Reported with precision and authenticity, this drama escapes stereotypes and is deeply moving.
