The Olympic Games in Barcelona as seen by Carlos Saura include a spectacular opening ceremony, spectacular successes and devastating failures. Emotions are particularly intense when the score deafens the sounds of the stadium. The music, full of anxiety, during the run emphasises the sportsmen’s determination, subtle and joyful sounds turn track and field into dance and the sad violin accompanies those who were not meant to win in the Olympics.
