Sławomir Batyra

Stage director and documentary filmmaker. He studied at the Film Directing Department of the Theatre Academy in Warsaw. He directed Knut Hamsun’s Hunger at the Ateneum Theatre and Rewolucja Balonowa, a monodrama by Julia Holewińska, at the Powszechny Theatre. The latter was staged as a guest performance at, among others, the Warsaw Theatre Meetings. He is also a co-founder of the Warsaw Revolutionary Theatre – a social scene going back to the tradition of the workers’ theatres of the 1930s.
