As early as in the 1920s Mount Everest would attract and stir the ambition of bold individuals. An expedition including the best mountaineers of the time, such as Andrew Irvine and George Mallory among others, went into the mountains in 1924. John Noel, who was responsible for the documentation of this undertaking, managed to record the breathtaking views of the mountains and, as the first one in history, film the scenes from the life of Tibet’s native inhabitants. The screening will be accompanied by the original sound of unique instruments based on the oldest musical traditions, performed by Karpaty Magiczne.
