Alisa in Warland

Alisa in Warland

No one so far has shown the war in Ukraine from such a personal perspective. The eponymous character is a student of the Kiev Film School who documents the events triggered by the Maidan revolution. While the conflict escalates, she sets off for the pro-Russian east to see the separatist rebellion with her own eyes. Neither the relationship with a French journalist nor the risk of losing her life may prevent Alisa from bearing witness to what is happening in her homeland.
