Madam Black

Madam Black

One day, during a walk in a park, Franz Kafka and his lover Dora Diamant met a girl who was crying because she had lost her favourite doll. “Don’t cry, you doll has gone on a journey, but she will be sending letters to you”, allegedly said the author with the intention to comfort the child. This anecdote inspired the story about Marcus (Jethro Skinner), a photographer who has to quickly make up a story about wonderful Madam Black who has gone missing. Black humour in the film is combined with a large dose of optimism.
