The issue of exorcisms stirs many emotions but some of them might simply be theatrical gestures. The film director observes three cases of alleged demonic possession and the reactions of the family and the clergy to them. Reintroduced to the church practice by John Paul II, exorcisms may be abused in situations when lost young people cover up their personal problems by diabolic screaming and pulling their hair out.
