Director, producer and photographer. He was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1961. He is a co-founder of Zazen Produções. His films include Artificial Paradises (2012) and the award-winning documentary Estamira (2006). He has produced the feature film Elite Squad. The Enemy Within (2010), the biggest box office hit in the history of Brazilian cinema and the continuation of an earlier film, Tropa de Elite (2007), the Golden Bear winner from Berlin. He directs documentary films and television programmes.
